Timetables & Fares - RUDYARD LAKE STEAM RAILWAY

 Return train Fares are: Adult £3.50 Child( 2-12) £2.50

No prior booking is needed except for Santa Special steam trains where it is essential to get tickets in advance and special fares apply. We use steam engines on all our trains which run whatever the weather.

Day Rover Tickets are available for £ 5 adult  £3.00 for a child ( gives unlimited travel on the day)

Single journey fares are available. please ask the guard on the train.

Train departure times from Rudyard Station are:

11.00am, 12.00 , 1.00pm,  2.00pm,  3.00pm,  4.00pm # (runs March to end October)

February half term steam trains will run every day from 14th to 21st . We run daily in school holidays.

Rudyard lake is a historic site where Rudyard Kipling's parents met and named their son after the spot they where they met..

  Halloween at the Railway is next on October 30, 31st

All special events start at 11.00am except the steam gala which starts at 10.30. No booking is needed except for Santa Steam Trains.

We do Special Party Express steam trains for children's or adults birthday parties with options to make the day really special.
