Public Transport to Rudyard Lake & Steam Railway
Nr. Leek, Staffordshire, ST13 8PF, UK
Mainline and local trains serve Stoke on Trent about 10 miles away and a frequent First Group bus service runs from there to Leek.
There are also good train services to Congleton and Macclesfield but onward bus links are not as good
Sadly Leek lost its train services over 50 years ago.

There is a midweek bus service from Leek to Rudyard and Biddulph operated by Baker Bus route 423/424. Busses travel from Leek bus station to Biddulph and Mow Cop calling at Rudyard on route. There are no bus services to Rudyard at weekends.
Bus Times (Spring 2010)
Departs Leek Bus Station: 10.50, 12.30, 14.10, 16.35( college days only) and gets to Rudyard 11 minutes later.
Departs Biddulph Wharf road: 8.15(CDO) 10.00, 11.50, 13.30, 15.55

The railway starts from Rudyard Station where there is a free car park. Its on Rudyard road, the B5331 one kilometre west from the junction of the A523 Leek to Macclesfield Trunk Road. watch out for the brown signs on the A523 which are about one kilometre North of Leek. The post code if you have a SaT Nav is ST13 8PF. This will take you onto Rudyard Road. The entrance to the station is right next to the old railway bridge. Take the ramp up into the car park
The steam railway at Rudyard is located between Leek in Staffordshire and Macclesfield in Cheshire one mile along the B5331 from its junction with the A523. We are close to the Cheshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire borders and easy to get to from Macclesfield, Congleton, Knutsford, Buxton as well as Leek and Stoke.
Trains run every Sunday from 11.00am to 3 pm. (4 pm. from late March), Saturdays from April to end of October and daily in school holidays. See the timetable page for full details.
